1976 2.7 Targa bodywork

After a recent engine rebuild the customer decided to also attend the the rust in the shell of his 2.7 Targa.

All the usual areas where affected

Front wings had been bodged with fibreglass and poor repairs

sills had been filled

Lower A-post poorly plated

So we cut it out and used a proper repair panel

Filler hiding rust in the B-posts

And sills

Both Kidney bowls almost entirely rotted away

Jacking point also rotten

Failing to keep this area clean is the mud trap that is the start of these problems

Front panel and suspension pan also replaced.

Reassembly starts after repairs are painted.

Rechromed door handles

And headlamp rims

Plenty of cavity wax applied

Roll hoop also brought back to its original stainless finish.
